There are numerous pubs in Cottenham, but back in the day, there were dozens, literally when front rooms were opened and a cask of ale sold by the pint to farmworkers, shepherds, and cheesemakers alike. At the moment, we have three pubs in the village currently opening their doors to punters, with a fourth still wavering about whether it is going to re-open or not. There’s also a couple of private clubs.
The Hop Bind Cottenham is one of the best known of the four pubs, recently refurbished, it’s a cosy and comfortable pub, a classic you might say. Sharon and Lance serve decent beer and plenty of other drinks, including a wide range of gins. The pub has TV sports, a pool table, dartboard.
